1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They allow you to stay signed in as you move between pages, or let the site remember the country and language you selected.
Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, follow the same rules described here.
2. Essential cookies
These are required for the site to work. Without them you cannot sign in or publish a listing, so they cannot be turned off and do not depend on consent.
- login session, to keep you signed in while you browse;
- form security token (CSRF), which prevents someone else from submitting data on your behalf;
- a record of your cookie choice, so we do not ask again on every visit.
3. Functional cookies
These store preferences that improve your experience. If you refuse them the site still works, but it may forget your choices between visits.
- selected country or market;
- chosen language, Portuguese or English;
- filters and sorting applied when browsing listings.
4. Analytics cookies
These would help us understand how the site is used and where to improve it, always in aggregate form.
BRDeals does not currently use analytics cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested before any collection.
5. Marketing cookies
These would serve targeted advertising or measure campaigns.
BRDeals does not use marketing cookies and does not share your browsing data with advertising networks.
6. Third-party cookies
Some features rely on external services, which set their own cookies when you use them:
- Google account sign-in, when you choose to use it;
- Stripe, at the moment of a payment, for fraud prevention.
- These services only come into play when you use the corresponding feature, and each follows its own privacy policy.
7. How to control your choice
Today BRDeals uses essential cookies only — the ones that keep you signed in and protect forms against fraud. European law does not require consent for those, which is why the site shows no cookie banner: there would be no real choice to offer.
If we ever start using analytics, marketing or any other non-essential cookie, you will be asked before any collection takes place, and the choice will be available on every page.
You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. The essential ones will be recreated on your next visit, because the site cannot work without them — and deleting them signs you out.
8. Changes to this policy
If we start using new cookie categories, this page will be updated and we will ask for your consent again before any collection that depends on it.
